Co-Founder and COO – 1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC.

Recently retired as Chief Operating Officer of this innovative containerized moving & storage company, Mr. Platt has been instrumental in the growth of this start-up concept. From 2005 through 2009, the company sold over 150 franchised territories and grew to $30M in system revenues providing primarily residential storage and local moving, transporting steel containers via a proprietary lift system that keeps contents level and stable throughout the process. In 2009, the company bought back most of its franchisees and began operating 51 company-owned warehouses with Mr. Platt as COO. During the worst housing downturn in modern history, Mr. Platt expanded the company’s focus to include long-distance moving (now 50% of company revenues) and commercial applications that countered the housing trends. Under Mr. Platt’s leadership revenues grew 300% and cash flows increased over $23M.

Mr. Platt holds an MBA (Marketing & Finance) from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA (Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science) from Stanford University.
